Mr. Robert Sherill Welfare, 82 of Pfafftown died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Welfare was born in Winston-Salem on November 17, 1927 to Bradley Lamar Welfare and Mabel Sharp Welfare and was married to Sue King Welfare. Mr. Welfare was retired from Piedmont Airlines with 40 years service. Mr. Welfare was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Bradley, Douglas and Henry. Survived by his wife Sue King Welfare of the home; Brother John Welfare of Roanoke, VA. and a number of nieces and nephews Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Mausoleum Chapel at Forsyth Memorial Park, followed by a brief visitation. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. Memorials may be made Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane W-S, 27103 Online condolences may be sent to www.salemfh.com.
