Winston-Salem – Mr. Jack Caleb Livengood, 78, died Thursday night, July 30, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the fellowship hall. Mr. Livengood was born March 26, 1931 to the late Sallie Griffin Livengood Fulp and William F. Livengood. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Vernon Jasper Fulp. Mr. Livengood retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in March, 1989 after 36 years of service. Mr. Livengood was an Army veteran of World War II, serving for fours years in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Livengood is survived by his wife of 54 years, Reba Martin Livengood; one son, David Lee Livengood of Lewisville; two daughters: Cathy (Danny) White and Janet (Craig) Sheppard of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren: Jason, Jenny and Janna White, Caitlin and Caleb Sheppard; and two brothers: Doug (Rachel) Livengood of Winston-Salem and Billy F. Livengood of Stokesdale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Andrews Building Fund, 357 Old Hollow Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
