William Edward (Ned) Vaughan-Lloyd Jr. passed away on February 25, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He was born in Forsyth County on May 13, 1929 to William and Elizabeth Clingman Vaughan-Lloyd Sr. He graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School and Emory University. William was the Director of the Industrial Commission of North Carolina, from where he retired after more than 20 years. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Norma Gross Vaughan-Lloyd; daughter P. Terry Vaughan-Lloyd Banner; and son C.W. "Chuck" Vaughan-Lloyd. He is survived by daughter Marrie Grady of Winston-Salem and grandchildren: Erin G. Fendley (Anthony) and children Kollins and Killian; Sean Grady; Megan G. Bolhuis (Brandon) and children Bailee and Ryas; Charlie Banner; Michael Banner (Kayla) and son Damon; and Carey Vaughan-Lloyd.
