Rosemary Cook
Our blessed angel, Rosemary Cook, 88, died at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on Saturday, August 25, 2012. She was born in Cook County, IL to Ferdinand Nauman and Estelle Trudelle Nauman, on January 24, 1924.
After a rewarding nursing career, Rosemary retired to raise her family and devote her life to serving others. She was a lifelong member of St. Leo’s the Great Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the St. Teresa Guild. Rosemary also volunteered with Meals On Wheels for 32 years. She delighted in being kind to all and generous to those less fortunate. Her smile will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Erwin Cook of the home; daughter Maureen Fraser, and husband Mark, of Winston-Salem; son Win Cook, and wife Carol, of Sherrills Ford, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher Cook, and wife Heather, of Statesville; Erik Fraser, of Winston-Salem; Katie Cook, of Sherrills Ford; and two great-grand sons Caspian and Cade Cook of Statesville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 29 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels, St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice or Crisis Control.
