Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Emmma was one of the most intelligent, loving ladies we have ever had the priviledge of knowing. Her faith was constant. She was truly a gift from God and will be missed by all who knew her.

Emma was my second mother and my treasured friend. Doug, Blythe, Miranda and Sam join me in rejoicing over the inumerable happy hours we shared with her. We are thankful for her influence in our lives, her generous nature and her sparkling personality! We will cherish the love we all have for her for as long as we live. How priviledged we were to have had a friend whose life reflected how Jesus wants us to live in every way.

I remember your mother so vividly as a delightful person and great mom. I was so impressed to see your whole family at the movies together having fun when we were in high school. I'm sure her painting was wonderful but could not compare to her greatest works of art--three wonderful daughters who added so much to my high school experiences and beyond! I send love and sympathy to Carolyn, Sandra, and Barbara, and consider it also from my mother, Josephine Fitts, who worked with her in PTA and loved your family too.

Carolyn, Sandra, and Barbara, How well I remember your mother and the kindnesses she showed me when I was a young teenage newcomer in Winston-Salem and Ardmore Methodist Church. She was so welcoming, loving, and encouraging to me. She always had her heart, ears and arms open to listen to my insecurities and worries. I loved her so much and felt needed comfort in her presence. She served God in such beautiful ways as she helped all of us "children". She was a Blessing in my life and for many others. May God give you comfort and peace, and the joy of many happy memories to hold onto always. With love, Alice Ann

Emma remained young in heart and spirit right up to the last time I saw her at Christmas. Her spirit will shine bright and strong for me always.
